Sam Faulkner Sam Faulkner

Sam is a New York City-based actor, originally from Charlotte, North Carolina. He most recently made his Broadway debut in the revival of GYPSY starring Audra McDonald.

At age fifteen, Sam got his Equity card playing Billy in BILLY ELLIOT at Ogunquit Playhouse, a role he would reprise at the North Carolina Theatre. His senior year of high school, Sam made his TV debut as I.Q. in NBC's HAIRSPRAY LIVE! directed by Kenny Leon, choreographed by Jerry Mitchell. 

Sam went on to attend the University of Michigan, where he received a BFA in Musical Theatre. Upon graduating, Sam made his NYC debut dancing with The Verdon Fosse Legacy at New York City Center's Fall For Dance Festival

Since then, Sam has been seen onstage at American Repertory Theatre (world premiere of WILD, starring Idina Menzel, directed by Diane Paulus), Broadway at Music Circus, NC Theatre, Fire Island Dance Festival, Hudson Valley Dance Festival, Asbury Dance Festival, and The Met Gala (2021 and 2022). On television, he can be seen on Season 3 of MAX's The Other Two. 

This summer, Sam made his Broadway debut in GYPSY starring Audra McDonald, directed by George C. Wolfe and choreographed by Camille A. Brown.
